Giorgio Matteo Lorusso was born in 1996 in Bari, Puglia. He attended the fashion design course at Polimoda and graduated in 2019. During his education years he has always based his collections on social themes, such as the situation of women in the south of Italy and the representation of the body differences in society. For the graduation collection he focused on the standard concept of the employee, recognizable through the iconic bodysuits, describing through lycra and deconstructed suits his status of a man in a cage. After the “Super Nature” graduation fashion show, he won together with two alumni and colleagues the Polimoda Talent, a scholarship promoting the best creative and business- ideas coming from the students. Still working on this project, he also started working as Assistant designer for Gianfranco Villegas and his brand “Selfmade”.
