Francesca Palma was born in 1997 in Caserta, Italy. She pursued classical studies in high school, and later moved to Florence to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Design at Polimoda. Becoming aware of her identity, Francesca used her academic collections as the means to analyze her past experiences and give a concrete form to her values as a designer. Francesca's graduation collection is the culmination of this process: it shows her goal as a designer to regain our individuality from the image of perfection and 'composure' that society pushes us to chase, desire, or emulate. Francesca wholeheartedly believes sustainability is the present of fashion rather than its future; this theme flows through her collections, all her items being crafted from scraps or recycled fabrics.
